For functional fitness gyms

Write it
on the board.
We’ll take it
from there.

WodWiz is built by coaches and owners, and it shows in the details. It’s the app your members open every day, with your gym’s logo and colors on it, so we made it feel as good as your best class.

The WodWiz app logging a lift: a Squat Clean at 235 lb, with the note 'New 1RM, 10 lb over your best' shown before the result is saved.
The WodWiz app: Fran's leaderboard for the class, Micah Brooks 3:23, Logan Yates 3:28, Ivy Novak 3:45 and more, with cheers on each line.

WodWiz is made by a small team of coaches and owners. We built it for our own gym first, because the apps our members used felt dated, glitchy and hard to figure out. Now we’re bringing it to gyms like yours.

Our story

01The week

However it arrives,
it leaves as a week of classes.

Bring in the programming the way it comes, from your provider or your own coaches. WodWiz finds the days, the pieces, the sets and the reps, and lays out the week. Fix anything, then publish.

Import a week of programming: the week's programming going in, starting Monday with Strength: Back Squat and Fran.
The week goes in
What WodWiz found: 19 workouts across the week, each marked warm-up, strength, workout or cool-down, with movements tagged: Back Squat; Pull Up and Thruster for Fran; Row.
Every piece sorted, movements tagged
The programming board for a week: Helen, Grace, Annie, Kelly, Karen, Jackie and Chelsea, with a strength piece under each day.
The week on the board, ready to drag around before it goes live

02The class

One class,
from Jordan’s side of it.

  1. 6:02. Step 1.

    Checks the day

Coffee first. Today's workouts, the gym's photo of the day, and Saturday's partner WOD with an RSVP.

The Today screen: Hey, Jordan, the photo of the day, and a Saturday partner WOD event.
  2. 6:24. Step 2.

    Logs the lift

Squat Clean, 235 for a single. WodWiz already knows the old best was 225, and says so before Jordan saves.

Adding a Squat Clean result of 235 lb for 1 rep, with the note: New 1RM, 10 lb over your best.
  3. 6:25. Step 3.

    Puts it on the board

One switch and the PR goes up on the gym's monthly PR board, next to everyone else's.

The gym's October PR board, chalk on green: Cindy rounds, Fran and Kelly times, and Jordan Lee's 235 lb Squat Clean.
  4. 6:49. Step 4.

    Logs Fran

Straight onto the gym's leaderboard, Rx and scaled, with a cheer button on every line.

Fran's leaderboard: Micah Brooks 3:23, Logan Yates 3:28, Ivy Novak 3:45 and the rest of the class.
  5. 7:05. Step 5.

    Hears about it

The feed fills with the class's results, PRs marked, and the cheers start rolling in.

The gym feed: yesterday's Fran results, PRs marked, with cheer counts.
  6. Sun. Step 6.

    Looks back

Twenty sessions in five weeks, nine PRs, and every number in one place.

The Logbook: 20 sessions and 9 PRs in the last five weeks, and Your numbers: Squat Clean 235, Strict Press 145.

03The coach

Walk in ready.
Coach the room.

We’ve coached thousands of classes. These are the things we wanted in our own hands at 5:45 am.

Prep for class
Every piece, the scaling, and the weights for everyone in the room, on one screen before class starts.
Balance at a glance
See what the week leans on, so you catch three squat days in a row before your members' legs do.
Notes only coaches see
Cues, setup and the stimulus you're after, kept for the coaching staff.
Recognition built in
PRs are flagged the moment they're logged, so you never miss the one worth calling out.

04The owner

Your gym.
Not ours.

Members open your gym, not an app with your gym inside it. Everything else is built around one job: making your coaching easier to follow.

Gym home in the app, led by the gym's own logo: today's class, the athlete search, and How's my gym, with 32 members trained this week.
Your name on it
Your logo heads the web app and every result members share, and your color is the accent throughout. WodWiz signs off small.
Programming that moves
Import the week or write it yourself, then drag pieces and whole days around the board. Every edit reaches phones at once.
Your whole roster at once
Invite everyone in one go, then see who's joined and who still needs a nudge.
How's my gym?
Members trained this week against last, PRs this month, and who's been in most, at a glance.
Switch without starting over
Members can bring their past results with them, if your last app lets them export. We set up the move with you.

05The difference

The stuff that
quietly goes away.

Nobody opens a gym to do data entry. Here’s what comes off your plate, and your coaches’, in the first week.

  • No more: Retyping the week into an app, one workout at a time.

Bring the week in however it comes. The days, pieces, sets and reps are read for you.

  • No more: Doing percentage math at the rack.

Every member sees their own working weight, worked out from their own max.

  • No more: Not knowing if a max was tested or a guess.

Every max says whether it was tested or estimated.

  • No more: Scores on a whiteboard that gets wiped at noon.

Every result saved, and the leaderboard filling in on members' phones while the class is still on the floor.

  • No more: “Wait, was that a PR?”

PRs are spotted before anyone hits save, with how much they beat it by.

  • No more: Losing a score because the gym’s signal dropped.

In the app, log it anyway. It saves the moment your phone is back online.

  • No more: Finding out a member stopped coming when they cancel.

See who hasn’t trained in two weeks while there’s still time to text them.

  • No more: New members starting their numbers from zero.

They can bring their past results with them on day one, if their last app lets them export.

  • No more: Announcements and RSVPs lost in a group chat.

Announcements, events and who’s coming, in the same place as the workout.

06The fine print

The fine print,
in large print.

  1. 01

    Members keep their history.

Results belong to the person who sweated for them. Even if your gym pauses its plan, members can still sign in and see every score they logged.

  2. 02

    No ads. No selling data.

Nothing about your members is sold, and the app carries no advertising or tracking. That's in the privacy policy, in plain words.

  3. 03

    Everything comes back out.

Members can get a copy of everything they've logged, any time, straight from Settings.

  4. 04

Support from the people who build it.

No ticket queue and no call center. When something's off, you reach the coaches who make WodWiz.

  5. 05

    A community that stays kind.

Anyone can report a post or block someone, and every report comes straight to us, not to your gym.
